Current Honda Pilots have Honda’s Blind Spot Information (BSI) system, but older models vary by year and trim. Honda lists BSI as standard on every 2026 Pilot trim, while the 2021 Pilot offered it on EX and above.
How Pilot BSI works
Sensors near the rear corners monitor areas alongside the vehicle. When another vehicle is detected in the blind-spot zone, an indicator illuminates in the corresponding side mirror. If you signal toward that side while a vehicle is detected, the indicator can flash and an audible alert can sound.
BSI is separate from the rearview camera, lane-keeping assist and Cross Traffic Monitor.
Is blind-spot monitoring standard on every Pilot?

Does BSI replace checking your mirrors?
No. Honda states that the system is not a substitute for the driver’s own visual check before changing lanes. Weather, object size, speed and other conditions can affect detection.
What is Cross Traffic Monitor?
Cross Traffic Monitor is a separate system designed to help while backing out of a parking space or driveway. BSI is mainly concerned with vehicles alongside or approaching from behind in adjacent lanes.
